Our History
Several Christians began meeting in Bonner Springs in the fall of 1962 with plans to build a building, plant a New Testament church of Christ and bring the gospel of Christ to our area. They organized a campaign called Operation Concentration which resulted in a purchase of land and a new church building located at 419 E Morse Ave.
New additions to the building followed in 1984 which added a fellowship hall, kitchen, and additional class rooms and utility space for the growing congregation. Some of the original members are still here. Tom Tinsley one of the churches first elders and his wife Jean has been here from the beginning, raising their family, serving Christ and the community. Tom served along with Calvin Fields as the first elders selected by the congregation in March of 1976. Our last preacher Jim Braley has been here from 1994 to 2017 and our current preacher Jordan Edwards started in January 2018. We desire to serve the community and glorify Christ in our lives in Bonner Springs.
