Mission Statement

The "great commission" from Matthew 28:18-20 (NKJV) Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, "teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.

We believe we can accomplish that vision and mission through obedience to the Lord's command by, "Bringing the lost to Christ and being a Christ like example in everything we say and do. We seek to obey Gods commands and help those in need, in all things giving glory to God." (Colossians 3:17)

Christian Life Goals

We at the Bonner Springs Church of Christ, encourage each member to hold themselves and each other accountable to the three Biblical concepts of Christian development as  follows:

Loving God More (Personal) - Mt 22:37

A Christian growing in their personal love for God is one who consistently attends services with a desire to learn and apply God’s will for their life.  Our desire is to see this individual (or family) attending Bible classes and  activities of the Church. The shepherds believe that Christians who are regularly worshipping with the church, and  regularly praying and studying God's Word, are growing in love for God. These are measurable attributes of a healthy personal relationship.

Loving One Another More (Body Life) - John 13:35; Eph 4:15,16

A Christian who is developing deeper love for the body of Christ, will regularly attend worship, Bible classes, and fellowship with all the members. Encourage the weak, bear one another's burdens, rejoice with those who are rejoicing, and weep with those who are weeping. By doing these things we show our love for each other. Christ died for His church, and we are called to even lay down our lives for one another.

Loving the Lost More (Sharing Life) - John 14:6

A Christian who is sharing life is one who is aware of the physical and spiritual needs of those around him. The shepherds here at Bonner believe it is the scriptural responsibility of every Christian to be actively involved in the ministry of reaching the lost - feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, showing hospitality, visiting the sick and those in prison. Pass on the blessing of eternal life to the lost and dying world around you!

As the elders of the Bonner Springs Church of Christ, it is our responsibility and desire to watch over and provide for the sheep of this local body.  We want to help you  grow in your relationship with our Father, and  have  identified three basic life goals, in order to better guide your personal walk. The purpose of  these life goals is to  provide direction and focus to the Bonner Spring’s Church family

Our goal is to improve our ability to fulfill the Great Commission and glorify God. To this end, we urge each member to seek involvement in the ministries we have in place for reaching the lost world. We hope you will become involved in supporting evangelism, realizing that though we do not all share the “gift of evangelism,” we do all share the commission of seeking  and  saving the lost. Every member has spiritual gifts that lend to this process and we hope to help you find avenues to use them.
